What is love?

Essay:

What is Love?
By: Basila, Jennilyn C.

For you what is Love? If you would ask me this question I would probably say that I just don’t know because for me love has no explanation. Love comes as fast as a lightning’s but not fast as it goes. It will mark our lives. Love comes when we unexpectedly meet the person our heart beats off. When we accidentally fell in love with just a snap or a click. Loves sometimes end in happy endings and some are not. Love changes, maybe today you love the person but when tomorrow comes your feelings had fade away. So be careful to choose whom you would love.

Sometimes other people confused to the difference of infatuation and love. Infatuation is the other term for the word crush. Which in tagalog ”paghanga”. Infatuation is a feeling that you feel when you like or when you think he is better than no one else. Unlike love, it is a strong feeling as what I said awhile ago love has no explanation you would just feel it and you’re just innocent to knew and feel it. Love is a strange and a harsh feeling because before we meet the on for us we must learn to wait. If you don’t know how to wait you will be hurt contagiously and it takes time to heal every wound in our hearts.

Remember: falling in love is finding the right person. It’s learning to love an imperfect person perfectly.

Little Talents
By: Basila, Jennilyn C.

Louie is very rich man.

He is the president of a large company. He loves to travel to different islands in Palawan. He loves rowing. He travels from island to island.

One day, as Louie went island hopping, he met Jefferson. Jefferson had come to ask Louie about a job. Louie asked him, what talent he had to offer. What could he do to be of some use to the company? Jefferson said, “I was not able to develop some real talents to speak of since I did not study well when I was still young. What I could do is to shout very loud. I can shout much louder than others.”

Louie hired Jefferson, to the dismay and resentment of his other employees. One employee said, “That man will be of no use to our company. He will just be a burden. He won’t be able to help any of us. He’d be useless,” Louie asked them, “Can anyone of you shout very loud?” lack of knowledge to operate the office machine. Jefferson was given the tasks of cleaning printing component in their establishment.

Not long after, the building where they were working in caught fire. They were trapped on the fourth floor of the building. Their place was all enclosed in glass. It was already late and they were still working on accounting for their current project. Nobody knew they were still in the building. Everybody assumed that since it was night time, nobody would be in the office building. The firemen were hosing down the fire which started on the first floor of the building, but the fire was quickly spreading so Louie asked Jefferson to yell with all his might.

Jefferson’s voice was booming thunder, cutting through all the noise made by the onlookers. His voice was so loud that the entire fireman looked to see where it was coming from. They could not see that there will still some people in the building but upon hearing Jefferson’s voice, the fireman hurriedly go their truck with the long ladder up where the loud voice was thundering from the men broke the glass window on the fourth floor and helped them out.

It was only then that Jefferson’s co-employees appreciated him. He became their hero. They show him with lots of compliments and realized that even very little talent counts.

I WISH
By: Basila, Jennilyn C.

I wish I were a butterfly
I’d spread my wings and fly
To the clouds up high
I’d flitter and flutter
On each and every flower
Here or ever wonder

I wish I were a ball
I’d just bounce when I fall
Go up and down the wall
Or roll and roll to the mall

I wish I were a Doberman,
I’d be your true friend
I’d be your bodyguard
And always stay by your side

Who I am?

First I would like to introduce myself. I'm Jennilyn C. Basila, 19 yrs. Old from Makati City. I'm sweet, kind, patient to all the people around me, respectful to my parents, relatives, friends and other people. Were five in the family, my father, my mother, my sister and my younger brother and me. I have many relatives some of them kind and helpful to everyone when they need their help. My motto in life is : it's better to hate me for who I am than like me for being someone who I pretend to be. At the past few days some of my friends are now my enemies because they change their attitudes but I still love them so much. My hobbies are: watched television, listening to my mp4 and sometimes reading pocket books. I like to go to different places, anytime anywhere, specially with all of my cousins I enjoyed their company so much. My mission is to finish my study before anything else. I try my best to get a high grade but sometimes I can't. The most happiest moment in my life is when my father is still alive because were complete and very very very happy. But when my father die we don't know what to do, were all sad. We never thought that it's gonna happen. I think that was the worst thing that happened in our family, but we need to accept it with all our hearts. That accident really affects in our lives. I have many happiest moment but no need to elaborate. You know what I have many crushes but actually I not been falling in love. One of my crush is gentleman, kind and a lot more. Some people tell to me that I am "masungit" or "suplada". I tell to them it's not true, know me better and they will know who really I am. But actually the truth is: I don't really know who I am.
